Great gi, very light and soft.

When I needed a new gi I looked to Black Eagle. I like their videos and thought I would try to support the "little guy."

This was my first women's gi so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found was that it will also be my last.

First, I love the design and have received nothing but compliments on that aspect of it. Part of the reason I picked this gi was that it was simple, but chic. And no pink. It is very light as advertised, and of a nice material. The drawstring is also a great feature.

Admittedly I am I strange fit with long skinny legs. I had read some reviews previously that said the pants might be a little baggy so although I was on the cusp of the next size up at 5'4 1/2" (cutoff was 5'4") I stuck to the smaller size hoping they would fit me better in width. To say these pants are a little baggy is actually an understatement. If you have a lot of "junk in the trunk" then you will be set. But if you don't, and most of the smaller ladies who would be buying an F2 don't, think MC Hammer parachute pants for a visual. I'm not trying to look great while I'm rolling but I do feel myself patting down my "butt tent" often. They shrunk so this has become my back-up gi as it is no where near legal at about mid-calf.

The jacket fits me perfectly with the sleeves just coming to my wrists. I love the look and feel of it. However, being a slender lady who is far from "top-heavy", I can't help but wonder who the gi was really designed for. If I had just a little more "umph" up top, the gi would be too small. Yet the pants would fit J Lo's bottom.

Anyway, I'm giving this gi a "good" rating because it's possible that with me being slender and having longer legs than one would expect for my height it is possible that I would find the men's gis a better fit. I still think Black Eagle is a great company. I just wanted to throw my experience out there.
