The video covers three grappling positions that are outside of mainstream BJJ, namely kesa gatame, offside kesa gatame and reverse mount. These positions are highly effective in both BJJ and submission grappling, especially because your opponent doesn't expect them. Nor will he expect the match-ending submission attacks that that you can launch from these positions.

very good dvd. one of my favorite dvds by master kesting! only minor complaint is that if you where ever taught the scarfhold position aka kesa gatame position you probly already know everything that is covered here on that position. all the info on the scarfhold/kesa gatame position is all pretty standard scarfhold/kesa gatame 101, type of info. how ever if you where never taught this postion this is all must know information. the other information on the other postions is excellent, exspecailly considering that the vast majority of grapplers dont spend much time learning these positons it makes the lessons learned even more vauluable. overall excellent dvd.

I'm only partly through this DVD, but I love it. Some things I already knew, but picked up a new detail or two, while other things were completely new to me.

Don't waste your money. Most of the DVD focuses on kesa-gatame. There is nothing unorthodox or unusual about this standard judo hold. If you're brand new to the sport and a complete beginner, this video might be helpful. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Also, the students who are his partners in the video are complete novices - I think I actually got worse just by watching them attempt to perform the techniques.
