He is also a world Judo champion in the Masters Class. Igor is a Master of the Sport in Sambo, one of the important honors that can be bestowed upon a competitor. Igor is also the Canadian representative of FIAS the largest Sambo sanctioning body in the world.

Superlative dvd set, definitely for intermediate and up grapplers though. If you are a novice (less than a year or so) you may not be able to take much away as he covers the material pretty briskly.

Awesome dvd's Igor is truly the man with his sambo series and now shows the russian side of judo. Crazy Grips and very explsive throws. Great for a judoka wanting some instruction from a different perspective.

Igor was in the army right along side Oleg Taktarov. That says it all. This guy is GOOD! ...if you don't understand the phrase "crazy Russians"...you will after you watch this.
