KEEPING UP WITH YOUNG ATHLETES IS HARD WHEN YOU'RE OVER 40!
Trying to match your opponent's strength and speed isn't the answer. You know it and I know it.

What you need are technical and strategic solutions, efficient transitions, and proper defensive structures.

That's what you'll get in this 2 hour 35 minute course.

GUARD PASSING
Guard passing is one of the most difficult aspects of Jiu Jitsu, one that will deplete your gas tank fast if you are inefficient. I teach a method of passing that doesn't rely on speed or athleticism.

BUILDING AN OFFENSIVE SYSTEM
This module begins by teaching you how to efficiently transition from one offensive position to another. Then I teach my favorite finishing techniques from 5 different positions. Your offensive game will take a huge leap if you learn the material shown.

CLOSED GUARD ATTACKS
I teach you my favorite 3 ways of playing guard: Cross-arm guard, Marionette guard, and V-Twin guard.

GUARD PASS COUNTERS
Guard pass prevention is important for any student of the art, but for older athletes, efficient prevention is critical to not depleting your gas tank. I teach you how to prevent your open and closed guards from getting passed.

SIDE CONTROL DEFENSE
Getting stuck in side control is all-too common, especially when your opponents are stronger and faster. I teach a highly effective system that not only keeps you safe, but gives you the best chance of escaping.

TAKEDOWNS
Takedowns can be very difficult when you get older because closing the distance and getting into position is nearly impossible against athletes that are younger and faster. I'll teach you the takedowns that don't require speed.

AND SPECIAL GUEST ROY DEAN
Roy Dean makes a special guest appearance to demonstrate a variety of techniques and strategies from several positions, and to discuss the changes he's made to his game in order to continue being effective as he's gotten older.
