---LEVEL 1 DVDs---

- Volume 1-

INTRO TO JKD: This lesson will get you acquainted with some of the basics of Chinatown JKD including the natural stances, on-guard position, and some core principles.

 JKD LESSON 1: The objective of Lesson 1 is to introduce "Attacking Footwork" along with some basic striking, slipping and parrying of Chinatown JKD.

 - Volume 2-

LESSON 2: The Level 1 phase of Chinatown JKD relates to the first of Bruce Lee's three stages in the cultivation of Jeet Kune Do, "sticking to the nucleus". As we begin to introduce the foundation of the Jeet Kune Do structure, or as Sijo Lee put it, the "nucleus", it is crucial to stick to this structure. The objective of Lesson 2 is to discuss "stalking footwork" and in particular how to use these techniques to move without breaking structure.

 LESSON 3: In Lesson 3, we will introduce follow-up attacks. Sifu Jeremy will introduce a new strike, your first kick, new footwork patterns as well as combinations integrating what you have learned so far. We will also introduce another fundamental principle of Chinatown JKD.

 LESSON 4: In addition to straight punches, Chinatown JKD has a lot of other hand tools at its disposal. In this video we will explore three new strikes: the backfist, the hammerfist and the finger fan. Sifu Jeremy Lynch also demonstrates the pivot footwork, the straight rear punch, and introduces isolation sparring.

 -Volume 3-

LESSON 5: In this lesson we present a "bread and butter" technique of Chinatown JKD, the Straight Blast and its variations.

LESSON 6: Lesson 6 introduces two basic trapping techniques as taught by Sifu Tim Tackett and Sifu Bob Bremer. You'll also learn another important kick in the Chinatown JKD curriculum (this one is Sifu Jeremy's specialty).

 LESSON 7: This lesson introduces the principle of "Bridging the Gap" and the theory of "ranges" as it relates to JKD. The Leg Obstruction is demonstrated as well.

 -Volume 4-

LESSON 8: In this lesson you'll learn 3 variations of the jab: the "Speed Jab", the "Flicker Jab", and the "Whipping Jab". We will also introduce the "long range" Side Kick along with some drills to develop the kick properly with the most power and snap.

LESSON 9: Here we will train the Jao Sao & Jut Sao (trapping hands), the inverted hook kick, and introduce four corners.

 LESSON 10: This lesson will cover "Trapping to Grappling", the swinging gate drill, and provide an overview of the hand positioning used in Chi Sao.

 -Volume 5-

LESSON 11: D.M. Blue demonstrates the Huen Sao (trapping hands), ping chuie/gua chuie, plus the curve right/left footwork. For the drills and application sections we have included the shoulder roll (boxing) and kick defense.

 LESSON 12: Jeremy Lynch covers the steal-a-step and the burst (footwork techniques). Sifu D.M. Blue finishes the lesson with the first defensive techniques against takedowns in the Chinatown JKD curriculum as well as the 3-count hook kick drill.

LESSON 13: This lesson introduces Dan Chi Sao (one handed chi sao), moves into 2-count lead hand punching combos for dexterity and closes with the heavy palm strikes (for power).

 -Volume 6-

LESSON 14: This lesson introduces two new strikes (shovel hook & uppercut), two new footwork maneuvers, as well as two essential drills used to prepare students for sparring.

 LESSON 15: Here we shift the focus to kicking and hand to foot combinations. Techniques covered in this lesson include the JKD Groin Kick, Inside Scoop Kick, Thrust Kick, plus some new attacking footwork!

 LESSON 16: Improved defense is the objective for lesson 16. We address the Heel & Toe Sway, the Snap Back, the Bob & Weave, and Four Corners. An additional module introducing knee strikes in the Chinatown JKD curriculum is included as well.

 -Volume 7-

LESSON 17: Topics covered are Sliding Leverage, Defensive Boxing Skills, The Leg Lift (stop kick), and a simple boxing progression (glove drill).

LESSON 18: This lesson introduces two new kicks, foot to hand combinations, and isolation sparring.

LESSON 19: The objective of lesson 19 is to develop power in punching. As a bonus, Sifu Jeremy Lynch covers the mechanics of powerful kicks.

-Volume 8-

LESSON 20: Basic hand-hand & hand-foot combinations are introduced here starting with lead hand to lead hand and progressing into lead hand to lead foot.

LESSON 21: This lessons focuses on combinations using the backfist. For example, the double backfist, backfist to traps like the pak and lop, and ending with hand-foot combinations.

JKD SALUTE: Jeremy Lynch demonstrates the JKD salute that we begin and end each class with. This is one of the traditional elements Bruce Lee kept from his Gung Fu training.

---LEVEL 3 DVDs---

 * VOLUME 1 - Core Technique Refinement:
This video covers refinement of core techniques and principles of Jeet Kune Do through trial and error. Using a few students for demonstration purposes, each holding a rank of either 1st or 2nd in Chinatown JKD, Sifu Dennis Blue evaluates and provides corrections on the students performance. This is an in-depth look at common errors in JKD training and how to correct them.

* VOLUME 2 - Core Technique Refinement Vol. 2:
Volume 2 continues with refinement of core techniques and principles of JKD through trial and error. Using a few students for demonstration purposes, each holding a rank of either 1st or 2nd in Chinatown JKD, Sifu Dennis Blue evaluates and provides corrections on the students performance. This is an in-depth look at common errors in JKD training and how to correct them.

* VOLUME 3 - Finger Jab:
If Jeet Kune Do can be likened to "fencing without a foil", then the anatomical equivalent to the point of the fencer's foil is the "Biu Jee" or Finger Jab. It is the longest hand tool available and therefore one of the preferred intercepting tools. Sifu Dennis Blue evaluates and provides corrections on the application of the finger jab as performed by students.

* VOLUME 4 - Sparring Refinement:
Volume 4 covers sparring, a crucial element of JKD training. Using a few students for demonstration purposes, each holding a rank of either 1st or 2nd in Chinatown JKD, Sifu Dennis Blue evaluates and coaches them through multiple rounds of sparring with varying levels of intensity. We'll focus on common errors and how to best correct them.

* VOLUME 5 - Feints, Fakes & Drawing:
Volume 5 deals with feints, fakes, draws and the subtle differences between them. The lesson is taught by Sifu Dennis Blue with assistance from Student Trainers Caleb Terray, Alex Hughes, and Mike Um. This is an in-depth look at the art of the feint in Jeet Kune Do and how to properly apply it using the hands, upper body, and feet.

* VOLUME 6 - Fighting Leads:
Bruce Lee advocated the use of the 'strong side forward' stance in Jeet Kune Do. The dominant hand and foot are placed up front, as close as possible to the intended target. In this lesson, Sifu Dennis Blue looks as the pros and cons of the JKD stance. Strategy and tactics are discussed as well as the use of trapping against an opponent who has been trained to fight from an orthodox stance.

* VOLUME 7 - Solo Training with Equipment:
Sifu Blue introduces solo training methods for when no training partner is available, using common equipment such as the heavy bag and double end bag. Developing explosive combinations and moving between ranges of the fight are just some of the ideas presented in this 90 minute lesson from Chinatown JKD. Sifu Blue is assisted by Student Trainer Alex Hughes and Matt Mullen.
