A formidable Filipino Martial Art, Kali is defined as a comprehensive Fighting System, useful at any range (long, medium, hand to hand), with weapons such as the short stick, the knife, the tonfa, or with empty hands (foot, fist, elbow, knee, locks, throws...). Unlike other styles, we begin with the study of weapons, which helps to develop self defense techniques against those weapons.
Kali is based on flow, speed, adaptability, precision and reflex, and efficiency is the result.
In this video, we will study more precisely defense against stick attacks. About each attack, you’ll see a threefold explanation: first with the traditional stick, second with more contemporary weapons such as tonfa (police weapon) and the telescopic blackjack, third with empty hands, each technique will be shown with various angles and slow motion for a better understanding.
In extra features, you will find a self defense part in which the sequences are taken from the videos “Defense against a Knife” and “Self Defense in Real Life Situations”.
