Labanang Kutsilyo or knife fighting is among the most important training aspect of the Filipino martial arts. Particularly in Abenir Kalis, this serves as the middle ground between the  transition of sword and empty hands fighting. The knife is probably the most commonly used weapon out there on the streets especially in the dark alleys where criminal activities usually takes place.
