Very interesting

This is really an interesting idea of controling from the Guard. It´s a simple concept of neck control that will allow you transitions into many different attacks. It seems like a rubber guard for inflexible people because you really don´t need much flexibility for this.

Essential reference video.

The late Kinjo Sensei taught a Shorin Ryu variety that he learned from; C. Hanashiro, S. Gusukuma, K. Toyama among others in pre war Okinawa. The DVD covers kihon, the Dentokan Kata with paired applications. The Kata; Pinan I-V, Naihanchi I-III, Passai (Oyadomari, Dai (Itosu) and Sho (Guwa)) Kosokun Sho and Dai, Chinto, and Gojushijo are presented various angles. I found the Gojushiho version very interesting. This DVD is well worth the expense as all technical details are visible and some explained.

Top tier Instruction, variety and quality.

If you practice bjj, you should learn your roots. Drysdale nails it with this book. He is honest and admits that some stories may be fabricated, it is up to you to believe based on his info. Overall, he went all out to bring us the most accurate history and has a great way of making the timeline cohesive. 

My wife bought this for me for Xmas this year. I am a brown belt training in Carlsbad CA and I do a lot of instructing. It is great to be able to reference the source material for the self defense side of Gracie Jiujitsu. The book is beautiful.
