It's hard for me to compare these to other gloves because they are my first pair of gloves.
The gloves work very well and are holding up well after several months of use.
When I first got them, they were difficult to put on by myself, but after a couple of weeks, they became relatively easy to put on solo. I use a set of smaller wraps with the gloves, they fit too tightly to wear my longer wraps. There is a lot of wrist support on the gloves so you may not need wraps with them anyway.
There's plenting of padding in the glove (I have the 16oz.) so you won't have to worry too much about hurting your sparring partner.
You might want to see about getting help fastening them to make sure that you're getting a proper fit.
I'll also point out that the inner strap has a coating on the end of the strap that does make it easier to grab with your teeth to fasten.
