Robert is one of the leading exponents of Yoshinkan Aikido having spent almost 10 years in Japan training under Takeno Takafuni and Chida Tsutomu at the honbu dojo. He holds the rank of 7th dan and in September 2011 was awarded a shihan license by Shioda Yasuhisa. He currently teaches at his full time dojo in Vancouver, Canada and at seminars around the world.
