im amused by Kirios Arvanitis' critics on here.there are some real dumbells in the martial arts.here is a man who has given his life literally to restore the ancient Greek Arts.he is in Martial arts halls of fame and has held world records for amazing feats of strength like one thumb pushups and other records for example.any dvd or book by him is the best .its real combat martial arts no matter what a few dimwits say.

I agree as well, he pretty much single handedly revived a lost artform and cultural legacy despite whatever the bonehead critcs had to say about him. I own the first dvd set he made on Pankration and have combined many of the techniques into my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes quite effectively. Mr. Arvanitas should be both highly respected and thanked for his contribution to the martial arts world. He has proved himself time and time again and i'm pretty sure there is a bar bouncer living somewhere that wished he'd never walked into Spartan Academy that night...
