Several small books about Baguazhang are included in this book. They were written in China before the Communists came to power, even before the transformation of wushu into gymnastics. In the book by Huan Bonyan "Dragon Palms of Eight Trigrams" (1928) is described the system Baguazhang, taught by his teacher - the great master of Xingyi and Baguazhang Lee Tsuni. In the book of Yan Dehua "As if the wall of Shaolin has broken down" (1935) is described the use of 34 methods of Baguazhang Cheng Tinhua directions. Lou Tszinguy’s book "Notes on Baguazhang, by teacher Cao Chzhunshen" (1941) is one of the best books on Baguazhang in the history of the style: it sets out the entire system of Cao Chzhunshen version of Baguazhang (Yin Fu Baguazhang direction) with emphasis on the refinement of the applications of techniques.
