U Tunang is sometimes named "Patriarch of the Chinese fighting arts" as this master has lived more than hundred years. The Mongol on a nationality, it was born in the end of XIX century in a family of hereditary military men, thanks to communications of parents at an imperial court yard has received military, civil and medical education from the best teachers of that time. After the revolution he was engaged teaching of humanitarian subjects at schools and high schools, and practice of fighting arts. This book has been published in 1928 and has united classical knowledge about taichichuan and new methods of their teaching.
This book actually was the first taichichuan manual, intended for general public, and has in many respects defined studying and teaching directions of taichichuan on all next XX century. The appendix contains a considerable quantity of materials about development of style from the moment of publishing of this book and up to now.
