Most relatively new DVD players have the ability to convert signals from NTSC to PAL or vice versa. We sell NTSC and PAL DVDs to customers all over the world on a daily basis without much problem. The techniques on this DVD are VERY SICK!!! I feel like I got more for what I paid for, highly recomend it to any bjj player looking to add or take their game up (not really for beginning level though)

Like the Guilhermes video, has a lot of fancy moves. I wouldn't recommend to a beginner. If you like high flash kind of moves or want something fun to play with, this is your dvd.

I DISAGREE WITH POIDOG. ALL THE MOVES ARE USEFUL! THESE ARE NOT "FANCY" MOVES. ALL OF THEM ARE "MODERN" JIUJITSU TECHNIQUES.

this DVD is really awesome!! However, like many of the previous comments, I wouldn't recommend it to beginners...but still very interesting for those who want to meliorate taking the back techniques!!

Wow.. these guys make DVD's with all these fancy techniques (low % techniques at that!), yet in their matches do nothing but play the 50/50 guard and stall??? Don't waste your $40 there are much better DVD's out there!

good DVD, not for beginners. As far as the 50/50 guard goes, I remember they used to say that Half guard was a place for stalling, but now what.

Highly recommended. The Mendes brothers consistently use these techniques and their variations in competition. I also have a problem with people saying they stall in the 50/50 guard. These guys end most of their fights via submission, not points. They have numerous sweeps and transitions from 50/50, but it's obviously not always easy to hit on top-tier black belt competitors. Rafael is very aggressive from there, but guys like Cobrinha and Robson Moura aren't just going to be swept easily.
