I got the Gracie Jiu Jitsu patch and the ends were frayed..looked like it was ironed on and just cut out...poor quality for such a big price....I can only assume this patch is the same...Be careful when buying anything over a 3.5" patch....I wouldn't even call it a patch...It sucks so bad I'm not even going to put it on my Gi.

Hello Kenyon,

I saw your reviews on the patches and just wanted to let you know how they work.
The Gracie patch (similar to many "gi patches) do have unfinished edges.
The way to put these on your gi is to fold the edges over making them double reinforced.
Then you sew through both layers of the material for a strong reinforcement.

You will notice there is extra material on all 4 sides to allow the edges to be folded over for this purpose.

Regarding the10th planet patch, it is made of a much thicker material and the edges are closed.
This patch is does not have frayed edges and does not need to be folded over.

These patches are brilliant. I don't see why Kenyon has put 1 star when he hasn't even bought one, and you can cleary see in the picture that the edges are closed.
