This is a good quality gi for kids. Lightweight top is great for hot summer weather. I bought my son the M3 (he weighs 90 pounds) and it is a little large. They definitely can stand by their statement that it is pre-shrunk. I have tried multiple times washing in hot water and drying on high and have been unable to shrink this at all. Even though it is a little large, my son really loves this gi!

Overall Vulkan makes a good kids gi. Only drawbacks are black jacket fades real quick and doesn't come with a belt. For younger kids- recommend fuji brand. Fuji has elastic waist band which is great for younger kids and comes with belt.

The only problem with this gi for kids is that the pants are not elastic. I have 3 kids who take BJJ/Judo and they always need help tying the strings in the pants. As a rule all kids gi pants should have elastic with a draw string instead of the traditional (Adult) style with no elastic.

Otherwise its a very, very good Gi.

Great kids gi,both my kids favorite one yet,soft and light weight.If they didn't have tie strings on the pants they couldn't be used in tournaments.
