About Gokor Chivichyan

Born in Armenia, Gokor has trained in the grappling arts since the age of 5. He is ranked 9^th dan in Judo, 6^th dan in Sambo, and 6^th dan in Jujitsu. Having emigrated to the US in 1981, Gokor has been training world class Judoka and MMA fighters at the Hayastan MMA Academy with Gene LeBell since 1991.

Format:	DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. Very cool mix of submissions that I'm sure will catch some of my sparring partners off guard. It seems like wherever gokor moves he's setting up a submission.

The instructional footage (disc 1) was cool but I really liked the bonus features on disc 2 where you can see Gokor rolling with a lot of different guys. He doesn't move like my BJJ instructor yet he catches these guys left and right. The set ups are different - there isn't a lot of guard work - it's enlightening to see someone submitting guys in a grappling framework outside of the bjj paradigm. 5 stars for this DVD!

If the free clip doesn't sell you on this fantastic dvd...then go home, you don't belong here. This is the coolest dvd out there right now. 2 discs...instructional and 2nd disc of pure Gokor...this guy is the real thing...watch and learn and watch and have fun...very entertaining!!!

great techniques. If practiced and done correctly many of these techniques will suprise a lot of people. There are enough techniques on here to keep you learning for a long time to come. Highly reccomeneded. There is great stuff on this DVD.

I've been to one of these seminars long time ago. He was problably the only one worth the money to pay and learn. Buy this DVD if you cant afford travel to see his seminar.

Not even 3 minutes into the DVD convinced me that Gokor must possess one of the sickest minds in combat sports today. You'd have to under a rock not to have this in your collection. My jaw hit the floor when he demonstrated the first submission.

I've trained with Gokor and let me tell you he is really good. I've got all his DVDs except maybe one or two. This is one of the better ones. I recommend it highly. The bonus disc takes you into the dojo and shows some live rolling with Gokor.
