This video was very disappointing. This DVD shows Felipe's journey to the mundials, but doesn't show you how to get there as I thought it would. He shows 5 techniques at the end that are good. Three of which are worth the price of the DVD.

I have owned this DVD for over a year, and I'm just now writing a review. That being said, I have referenced the DVD many times. Alot of times i'll pick up a new detail when I re-watch it. I like the way he told his story. The description of his evolution was cool. The thing about the injuries, and the losses, and overcoming all of that. To barely beginning to win at the brown belt level. It shows that mental preparation is a major part of the game, because without the desire to win, you will lose every time.

Another thing was cool, I used the spider guard thing that Michelle pointed out. I pointed my toes for control and I caught the guy in a triangle. Afterwards, he said it was real tight and he couldn’t get his arm free. It was a good pointer.

There is some unique techniques that if watched closely, you will see some of the details of things he does from certain positions that will improve certain areas of your whole game. I like the fact that there are only 5 techniques because it allows you to focus on just those 5, watch them close, over and over. like his back control(specifically the sleeve control from behind) has become my go to position for taking the back. The leg control from underneath in that half guard position is nice to use even just for transitions and sweeps.

Overall I was very happy with the DVD.”
