The extra thickness makes this mat phenomenal for aggressive take-downs, in-place grappling, and pounding on a dummy (or your buddy, which in some cases is pretty much the same thing...). It's a bit expensive, but the quality is far better than you might expect, so the overall value is pretty damn good. I prefer this mat over the regular mats because of the thickness and its ability to take severe impact. Folds up and cleans up easily. For more wrestling space, I'd recommend two mats. Just make enough space on your credit card.
