Jim Arvanitis, internationally known as the “Father of Modern Pankration,” presents his brutally effective martial art in Game of the Gods: The Historical Odyssey of Greek Martial Arts. Founded more than 3,000 years ago, pankration (meaning “all powers” or “total strength”) is one of the oldest martial arts in the world and the first to combine striking, grappling and submission techniques. this great book picks up where his last left off.its a fine work by an AUTHENTIC master of greek combat.i mean no offence but our country has more so called "masters" than any other...but in reality they are not actual masters.mr.arvanitis is one and he is very real.this book is a credit to his greek heritage...its a good one
