Format:	Magazine & DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. Most relatively new DVD players have the ability to convert signals from NTSC to PAL or vice versa. We sell NTSC and PAL DVDs to customers all over the world on a daily basis without much problem. Occasionaly there are a few customers with older set top DVD players that cannot do a signal conversion. If you have any doubts about the ability of your DVD player to properly convert the signal, please referance your manufacturer's instruction manual. The mag is cool but I don't read nihongo so I didn't get too much out of it. The DVD however was a great value for under $20. Lots of good matches.

The DVD alone is worth much more than twenty bucks. However the magazine itself is breathtaking, it's printed in top quality stock paper and has full color pictures everywhere. I absolutely loved it. I've already ordered this year's special edition, can't wait to have it.

The dvd/magazine combo is truly a great value. I don't read Japanese but I am impressed with the photography and the quality of paper used for the magazine. As for the dvd, I'm amazed by the picture quality and the number of matches included. Kendo competition dvds don't come cheap. Getting this dvd for $11.95 is a real bargain. The chapter titles are in Japanese and there is no commentary but that doesn't take away from the incredible footage. I recommend this package to anyone who has an interest in kendo.
