One of the better and more realistic self defense videos that I have seen. it definitely should be part of your library if you are serious about fiream and knife self defense.

Also, I really liked the fact that the video was shot during a seminar conducted by the authors, so you are able to see how the material is used by people who have not used it previously, under stress of the scenario-based drills. Besides this, some of the mistakes are clearly seen and underlined, so that you will know what look for and what to avoid in your own work.

WHAT? "the innovative Dog Catcher". Is this a new move? NO! Its the basic Kali defense against a knife that's also found in Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Karate, Silat, and a bunch of other arts. Its a simple high-line/low-line cover against an incoming slash-line. Giving it a nifty sounding new name, and not describing it at all was just hype to cover up for the fact that this is a BASIC move that's used everywhere. To say I feel ripped off is an understatement. GEEZ!

Great video showing some of the best knife defense I've ever seen. While the defenses are found in lots of styles, they go into the details to make them work and go LIVE while training to show how they work, and what happens when they fail. I pretty much had dismissed the defense as I learned it in Kali as it never worked when padded up and going hard. This video shows why it wasn't working. Voice overs and slow mo's of the scenario's really help show what to do and what not to do. Highly recommended.
