It's the first dvd so detailed about every aspect of training in kenjutsu that you can learn it even if you live in a country where there's no kenjutsu dojo at all, like mine. and for someone like me who MUST learn from books and dvd's it's the most detailed dvd so far, most understandable and most easier to follow and learn the details from the very beginning.

This was very very informative on the arts and life of a samurai. Of the 65 min. DVD the first 50 min. the sword never leaves the saya and is dedicated to history,etiquette, and basic (very bacis) sword handling drills. There is no combat techniques in this first volume but if you care to really understand the way of the samurai this DVD can't be missed! If the rest of the Kenjitsu DVD's are as informative it will be quite an investment to own them all. A rare glimps into a real kenjutsu tradition of a samuai family.
