this instuctional is great, it is in my top 5 of all time. some people may be scarred they do not speack japanese and can not gain naything from it. but the dvd is very easy to understand and all moves are shown in great detail. for the price it is a great bargain. i would recommend it more for people that have a solid base in jiu jitsu and are looking for something new to learn. But overall one of the best instructionals ever made.

A Quest dvd is one of the best you can buy...yes they are pricey and in japanese and no subtitles...but it doesn't matter, the production value is top notch and the instructions are very clear. Top of the line all the way...and Budo Video makes them available.

I just bought it. It IS a phenomenal dvd. Too bad there aren't even subtitles for the chapter headings, so that you can classify all the techniques in your head. My head is spinning, trying to remember all these great techniques. And do not be mistaken--this guy has a deep JUDO background, and this dvd is a treasure trove for anyone doing judo, also. In fact, all these techniques come from Kodokan Judo originally (and now co-opted by the BJJ'ers). Anyway, it's one of my top 3...especially for standing armlocks.

I think ANY Shinya Aoki DVD are better than good, not only does he break down submission pin points...he breaks down air time & hip movement to secure a submission 100% more.

Focuses a lot on anaconda and d'arce chokes, and different variations of those chokes. Good dvd, especially for no-gi.
