An extremely informative text, although not large, still containing a good deal of information about the history and practise of the Russian approach. There are also photos illustrating some of the more common throws from the crouched defensive positions, belt throws, jujigatame and even a few leglocks. It seems to me that a great deal of the information may have been a bit dated even in 1999 when it was published.
