The strength of this book is that it accurately portrays the use of pick-ups by and outstanding practitioner of judo and applies them to judo circumstances. The weakness is that some of these methods seem to beideosyncratic to the author's individual approach and perhaps lack the subtlety that wrestlers have shown in presenting many of these same techniques.
