Nami Ryu Aikijujutsu DVD with James Williams

For the ancient samurai, the necessity of a highly functional grappling art was essential due to the nature of edged weapon based conflict. In these engagements, the breaks, throws, strikes, and unarmed defense against weapons were used both with and without the sword in their hands. The techniques used were identical to those used with the sword. Aikijujutsu literally evolved from the sword techniques. With its foundation in kenjutsu, the techniques and strategies demonstrated on this DVD show the relationship. Secrets that have been hidden for centuries are demonstrated and explained.

James Williams, Kaicho of Nami Ryu Aiki Heiho has been studying and teaching martual arts for over 45 years and has extensive knowledge of both classical Samurai arts as well as the swords that the samurai used in practicing these arts. the techniques and strategies presented in this DVD are the product of over four and a half decades of knowledge. James has taught seminars and given demonstrations both in the US and abroad.
