Jiu-jitsu Unleashed Book by Eddie Bravo

In Jiu-Jitsu Unleashed, world-renowned martial artist Eddie Bravo reveals the moves that he used to defeat legendary Brazilian fighter Royler Gracie and that have made him one of the most feared competitors in the martial arts. A complete system that includes original ground fighting and submission techniques that can quickly subdue even the most vicious opponents--both in the ring and on the street--Bravo's "no-gi" style represents an evolutionary leap forward in the ancient Japanese art of jiu-jitsu.

Whether you're a complete beginner looking for practical self-defense techniques or a competitive martial artist who wants to incorporate Bravo's killer techniques into your fighting strategy, Jiu-Jitsu Unleashed is for you. Man this dudes Jiu Jitsu is wild and very effective. He teaches you ways to bait your opponent and get them into the attack position before they can realize it's too late. All I can is that flexibility is key so becareful trying out his stuff.

A good overview of the basis of Eddie's system. Not as well done as his Mastering the rubber guard book though. If you want more detail (and a better quality book), check that one out.

Read this first if you are new to BJJ/Eddie Bravo's system. Start small then order the other titles too!

It's a good read, with good techniques, but be careful. I think that if you pay attention to his words, you'll notice a theme. I believe that theme is this: Bravo developed his game not because he wanted to be different, but to compensate for his lack of solid fundamentals. Eventually, he came to something that works well for him, and obviously, for others as well. Certainly, if it works, use it. But don't get caught in the same trap. Learn this game to enhance your skills, not to make up for them.

Not nearly as good as his "Mastering the..." books, but covers some basics of Eddie's game. I think his game should start to be implemented at higher level jiu-jitsu as I had initially picked up some sloppy habits from this book when I first bought it.

A great foundation of the basics of the rubber guard system. It won't make you a rubber guard tactician overnight, but it is a great jumping off point.

Really good book, however it is not on the same level as The Victory Belt series (Mastering the…). It still contains a lot of valuable info and can be used to gain a basic knowledge of the 10th Planet system.
