Haidong Kumdo encompasses practice with both the wooden training sword and the forged steel sword. On this tape, both types of practice are demonstrated by top Korean Kumdo masters.

Using the wooden sword, the masters demonstrate training exercises, basic skills and combat drills with a partner. They then progress to more intricate sqeuences of cuts with the live blade sword, including fascinating demonstrations of cutting prowess in which bamboo is sliced and candles are extinguished with masterful speed.

This video was filmed in Korea at the Haidong Kumdo headquarters and features performances and interviews with the top ranking Haidong Kumdo masters in Korea.

Format:	DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. Most relatively new DVD players have the ability to convert signals from NTSC to PAL or vice versa. We sell NTSC and PAL DVDs to customers all over the world on a daily basis without much problem. Occasionaly there are a few customers with older set top DVD players that cannot do a signal conversion. If you have any doubts about the ability of your DVD player to properly convert the signal, please referance your manufacturer's instruction manual. Because a computer is neither PAL nor NTSC, you should have no problem playing an NTSC or PAL DVD on your computer.
