This is a very good kimono. It's as thick as some double weave kimonos. The collar is thick and feels really strong. However, the pants are really thick and heavy. It gets really hot during long rolling sessions. Overall a very good product.
rlly good gi.although don't trust the sizing. if you want a bjj cut. look at the size it says you should be and go for the size below.e.g. if you are 5'10" and 160 lbs go for size 4 instead of 5. otherwise you'll be trying forever to shrink your huge fitting gi in a dryer.otherwise, The best quality gi i own. will outlast any other gis u have and looks good.

This gi is built extremely well. I have owned mine for five years and it is still in good condtion. The cut is good, but not as tailored as my Atama gi. On the down side, the gi top is thick, it gets hot, and the material is a little rough. Nonetheless, for the money is is easily the best value for someone just starting jiu jitsu. I still use mine regularly in the winter despite owning five other brands. I think the gi pants are comfortable and rugged. This gi is very good for training.
Very strong and heavy gi. Very good quelity for a good price.
Very good quality. Gets a little warm in the summer but a steal at this price.

I'm 5'7 158 and I got a size 3. It fits just right, a little snug. If you want a BJJ look, order a size BELOW from the size chart... Feels strong for a single weave. Crappy belt tho.

In my humble opinion, Howard Liu makes the best kimonos around. I own an HCK, a Sirius, a Breakpoint, a Manto Select, and a Bulldog(made by Koral). Out of all of these the Howard is hands down my favorite. It has a great fit, the construction is bulletproof, a very hard to manipulate collar, overall the best I've owned. I would rank it #1, the Sirius #2 and the Manto #3. At this point I'm thinking of selling a couple of the other kimonos to replace them with HCK's. The belt is also the best I've used, always stays tied. I'm 6'3'' and weigh 210 and the 6 fits perfect.
