Format:	DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. Most relatively new DVD players have the ability to convert signals from NTSC to PAL or vice versa. We sell NTSC and PAL DVDs to customers all over the world on a daily basis without much problem. Occasionaly there are a few customers with older set top DVD players that cannot do a signal conversion. If you have any doubts about the ability of your DVD player to properly convert the signal, please referance your manufacturer's instruction manual. Because a computer is neither PAL nor NTSC, you should have no problem playing an NTSC or PAL DVD on your computer.

Su Dong Chen is excellent! This disc gives numerous examples of his fighting methods. Su moves so fast and fluidly. His applications are also very effective. Be aware that this is a Japanese language disc -- there's no English. But Su's moves come through load and clear.

Su Dong Chen is a martial artist with an astonishing background and reputation. The title - Essence of Evolution - clearly summarizes his fresh and unique approach to Nei Jia (Ba Gua, Xing Yi, and Tai Chi). In this dvds series, he gives both clear and effective examples of his arts as well as intimations on several topics such as the current state of martial arts in the world, competition vs real-life fighting, etc. The techniques demonstrate his versatility as he is equally proficient at throwing, empty hand striking, and weaponry. They also show his scientific approach to dealing with different situations. Probably, the only weakness here is the lack of subtitles, english dubbing, etc as this would have given it better marketing. Still definitely some of best dvds I've ever watched on the topic! A must have!
