a great book by the modern founder and true genuine grandmaster of the greek combat martial arts.i just love his system.i agree with black belt magazine of master arvanitis' art as the very BEST for self defense and for streetfighting...it has it all brutal striking and ferocious grappling...frankly its the best ive seen in 35 plus years of training...5 stars

Great book, it was just as I had expected. Master Arvanitis has a great wealth of knowledge that he shares with us. I really like how the book was broken up into segments. The techniques he selected were sweet and very useful

Mr. Arvanitis is the real deal when it comes teaching realistic technique. Full of both good technique and historical knowledge. I will say though that this book, in my opinion, is better geared toward street self defense than MMA competition.

i dont knpow what these other reveiwers are talking about, overall nothing special. it seems all arvantis has done to "resurrect" pankration is relable modern mma. his techniques are strait from bjj and thai boxing. the techniques that are not from bjj and thai boxing are pretty lousy. i certainly wouldnt use this crap on the street. skip this book.
