In Action DVD 2: This DVD documents many fights which occurred in the years just prior to Rorion?s creation of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Including Royce Gracie's first fight with Jason De Lucia (The second match was in UFC II) and the Hapkido master who fights Rorion can't seem to understand why he keeps getting choked out. You will also see Royler and Royce Gracie compete in black belt judo competitions and prove repeatedly that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a sport.

Also included are some of Rickson's fights, one against a Russian which took place at the Gracie Academy and the other is the classic fight of his, on the beach in Rio de Janeiro.

i beg to differ with whoever that give 5 stars to this product. poor teenage school children documentary of a combined home video of the helio gracie family, sold at 50USD is almost cheating the money out of people.

if want to see OLD gracie fights. this is it. if your a fan of the gracie tradition of "fight guys who know nothing about fighting on the ground and then say your art is better" this is it! entertaining dvd. but nothing special. yes it does look like a home movie. the thing i took away mostly from this is how hard the gracies and "bjj represenitives" (as they are called in this dvd) had to work to submit guys that didnt even know how to fight on the he ground. entertianing but for the price unless your a big gracie fan skip it.

Poor footage due to age and quality of shooting medium but pretty neat none the less. The Gracies do hear what the do best, choke people out who dont know BJJ and shameless self promotion. I think it is pretty fun to watch though.

I have no idea why guys are trashing this.. This is HISTORY! Shown are many challenge matches BEFORE the world knew the real effectiveness of Ground Grappling, back when everyone though Karate and Kung Fu Masters could kill someone with one hit(or even touch lol.

Reviewers are criticizing the lack of ground knowledge by the other fighters, but if these reviewers were even around during those days they would remember that was how it was back then before the "Gracie Revolution". Most believed what they saw in movies..and the Gracie's CRUSHED those misconceptions.

I purchased these VHS's(along with Rorion's basic GJJ set) out of Black Belt Magazine back after seeing the first UFC live and getting interested in BJJ in 1993, I was captivated by the fights, and how clueless Black Belts were from other arts.. I was training in Karate and Hapkido at the time, and it REALLY made me question a LOT..from then on I have been

this dvd is for serious gracie fans. if your looking for good quality production and good quality fights this is not it. this is footage of old "gracie challenge matches" when the gracies would fight guys who didnt know how to fight on the ground. its vintage gracie and its cool to see if your a gracie fan and want to see some history. other then that theres not much here to be interested in. i think the price is pretty hefty considering it didnt cost much to produce this video. its all done on a camcorder. my favorite part was seeing a very young marco ruas unleash his fast explosive and accurate hands on a much larger pinduka(that was his oppenents name). very cool to see bjj history!
