An excellent course on unarmed defense against knives and firearms. For more follow-ups which blend nicely with the defenses in this DVD, watch Filipino Kuntao DVD, also by Hernandez. I also recommend Counter Blade Concepts DVD by Michael Janich for more knife defense.

Wow. One of the worst videos on knife defense I've seen. I agree with the other reviewer's recommendation of Janich, but this was bad.
Hernandez shows POOR and static blocks against FAST and MULTIPLE attacks when showing OTHER systems. But when he demoes his system, he does faster blocking against slow and single attacks. He's trying to show his system's superiority by first showing other systems in a poor and untrue light, then changing how the attacks are in each, so his will look favorable.
This is really bad. Perhaps one of the worst knife offerings I've seen.

His ATTACKING methods as an ATTACKER looked good...but that wasn't the focus of the DVD. All in all, I'd say your money is best spent on Vunak or Janich.
