This is a concepts video, straight and to the point.

The presentation is a little cocky, but it does give good insight to those that are into this art. The 'cross overs' portion is solid, and is a lot more effective in trapping than many conventional methods that I have seen (in my opinion).

The video is not too intuitive for those who are unintiated in the art, but it is presented in a manner in which many ideas can come forth from its viewing.

Although it says "Bukti Negara", the series focuses on principles and techniques found in Serak. Stevan Plinck does an excellent job in presenting what the art of Serak is all about. If you're interested in Dutch-Indo Silat with a stress on the Pukulan aspect, this is a must-have.

I was expecting to learn the fundamentals of Bukti Negara. DVDs on this style are non-existent. Instead, I get a over confident sampling of a few techniques I have seen a hundred times before. Someone please do a fundamental video of Bukti Negara showing angles, footwork, leverage points, ect. That is want made Guro Paul so special. He create a style based on basic fundatmentals that can be applied to any art. Guro Plinck just gave us a short, somewhat sloopy exhibition video. I know he is capable of better. I would love to see it but this video is not it.
