The secret is Mark Hatmaker's revolutionary floor bag workout. Using an ordinary heavy bag (not a grappling dummy that costs four times as much), Hatmaker teaches you how to realistically simulate the weight and resistance of a real opponent as you practice dozens of groundfighting moves. He starts with a variety of lifting exercises that will develop the grip and specific strength you need to dynamically maneuver an opponent at close range. He then teaches you how to tune your grappling skills on the bag, using it to drill critical skills like the cross-body position, head-and-arm position, lateral press and top body scissors, as well as specific submission techniques and combinations. This is excellent for training at home or doing MMA moves that you can't do on a partner. Hatmaker gives a great overview of how to work many moves on the bag. A great value.
