Since then, the Japanese fighters have worked hard on their skills which they display in Vale Tudo 1996 -1997. Format:	DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. Most relatively new DVD players have the ability to convert signals from NTSC to PAL or vice versa. We sell NTSC and PAL DVDs to customers all over the world on a daily basis without much problem. MMA pundits and enthusiasts identify the INOUE vs. SHAMROCK fight as the beginning of the modern era of MMA: a shift from fighters identifying themselves with a specific martial arts discipline to cross-training by incorporating a blend of striking, grappling, and conditioning.

This fight also signifies a transformation of what was known as NHB into MMA: where street fighters and tough guys can no longer compete with the world class athletes entering the sport.

The fight between INOUE and SHAMROCK will withstand the test of time as one of the greatest MMA matches ever.

I highly recommend this DVD for the reasons stated above

Additionally,this DVD contains other fights of interest. The founder of Shooting Gym Yokohama, KENJI KAWAGUCHI, fights twice on this DVD, as does a young MACH SAKURAI and RUMINA SATO. Also on this DVD, an unknown CARLOS NEWTON submits ERIK PAULSON. This DVD is a must-have for every MMA enthusiast.

Before PRIDE FC there was Vale Tudo Japan. Historically significant for the fights and fighters that participated in these events. This DVD features 2 events. While a few of the preliminary fights are abridged, the fights were more significant to the birth of modern MMA in Japan aren't. You can either know, or don't know. I choose to know. Buy this.
