A real eye opener, this is an irrefutable proof that most of the thecniques we see today from the brazilian players and instructors were already practiced 50 years ago by these old japanese masters. Great item. If you could afford it, then get it, pronto!!!

"None before Kimura and none after" was an oft heard statement in judo circles of the era. Today the man's influence still looms large in form of Brazilian jujitsu circles and in the hands of modern day MMA practitioners like Karo Parisyan. Here in this series you can see the techniques demonstrated by the man himself.

As part of the Nihon-no-Kobudo series the film was professionally made by the Jap. Min. of Ed. and so the quality of the presentation is excellent. It is entirely in Japanese but it is the physical presentation of these early judo groundwork specialists which people will be interested in.

It is quite pricey when one considers the length of the series but those who are searching for the roots of many of the submissions utilized in BJJ and MMA today will find them here.
