This was my first set. I think it's a great place to start from. Cesar offers excellent, detailed instruction throughout the entire disc. Not many instructionals cover MMA, Sport, and Self-Defense aspects in one set. While I generally prefer sticking to one topic and doing it well, I think it's done well enough here to justify the format. There aren't a whole lot of new crazy moves here, even the advanced section is what I would consider "standard/basic advanced", but it is all still well thought out, presented, and sequenced. It's a very good set, and a tremendous value.

Although not a BJJ practitioner, I bought this set just to have a feel for the art. Needless to say, I was not disapointed. The instruction and articulation was clear and easy to understand. Great stuff!

a real good dvd series...for a bargin price....not only does he teach the basics...he also shows combinations and attack sequences....the only thing this dvd set lacks is half guard....i would recommend this dvd the the novice jiujitsu player....i really like the jiujitsu sport stuff but the nogi stuff is good too...if you mastered this dvd at home with a friend in my opinion you could go to any school in america and tap white belts and quite a few bluebelts....10 stars out of 5....i wish he came out with another set...a little more advanced....:)
