Originally sold for almost $400, the footage has been digitally re-mastered for DVD and it looks better then the original VHS version. This 11 volume series deals with sport Jiu-Jitsu and No Holds barred fighting. Renzo Gracie and Craig Kukuk take you through each technique with clear, concise explanation that made this series a favorite for many.

This instructional concept is awesome and this is one of the few sets that have ever been able to accomplish this. This was possible because when Renzo Gracie came to NY in the early nineties to do this set with Kukuk, he brought with him original fight footage of some of the most brutal ring and street fight footage ever seen. This is old school style fights from Brazil, before the UFC and takes place in gyms and hard core NHB events (many fights have no gloves). You will see Renzo himself in his early fights and many other Gracie's crushing their opponents. Renzo and Craig teach tons of moves on this set and often stop in the teaching to show you a real fight were the techniques was done. This is a MUST have set for any grappler and fan of MMA.

Format:	DVD NTSCNTSC is the standard video format used in North America and parts of Asia. This DVD will play on any standard DVD player in North America or other country where NTSC is used. I got this on VHS when it first came out (12 years or so ago) and now I have it on DVD! If you want to make sure you have the fundamental movements/submissions of BJJ then this is the series to get!

Oooooooold school BJJ techniques, good stuff back in '96 but extremely dated material. Look for more up to date instruction from newer DVDs!!!

Right now this is the only bjj instructional set I own. Sure the quality is a little old school, but it don't think that effects how well the material is taught. A must have set for all beginners.

This is the only bjj instructional set that I own also. These dvd's make me yawn and sleepy. Shows the tech's 4 times each to eat up time. Renzo struggles with his english. Craig tells you its not safe to stay low while passing the guard, then you are shown a fight clip that graphically shows you why, then you are shown those techniques anyway!?!?
