Shihan Kenneth Funakoshi, 9th Dan begins you on the Black Belt path with HANGETSU (one of the oldest katas known to exist) and ends the DVD with MEIKYO (a blend of basic techniques found within the "Heian" series of katas.) The use of slow-motion isn’t necessary in today’s DVD frame by frame technology, but this is a great refresher for one who knows Shotokan and an indispensable tool for the student who will benefit immensely from having an instructor only a “press play” away.
