I love it Review by Bobby

I was able to walk in off the street and buy one at Budovideos. They had both white and blue in stock at the time, I got the blue one. If you already own a Shoyoroll, you'll know the fit. If not, you will find that they are tapered around the waist and baggy at the shoulders. Lots of room to move around once rolling, so you don't feel like you're trapped. The pants are comfortable, I am a fan of ripstop, so it would have been better if they were ripstop, but I'll survive this time. The pants have 6 loops.

Take the good with the bad Review by Slayerino

Pretty decent, mid range gi at this price. Cheaper gis out there, but this is not a bad purchase. Best stitching I´ve seen from SYR, quality seems to be really good so far. The 500 gsm jacket is a bit flimsy but has a nice feel and fit and doesnt stretch. Im 6 feet, 165 lbs with long arms and the A2 jacket is not tight but snug enough with good arm length. The pants are a different story though. I actually suspect these are mislabeled A2H pants. They are HUGE!! A bit too long, but the "Homer Simpson fit" is the real issue. It feels like I got the pants from the "loaner gi" of some judo academy. A guy at 250 could probably wear these. Also the canvas is too thin for my liking. Too bad because the jacket is nice. Please SYR, make another dlux!! SYR jackets are awesome but the 450/500 gsm is really putting me off. We don´t all live in the tropics you know... The gi scene needs thicker, heavier gis...now!

Great Gi Review by HeirJordan

This is a great standard Gi and compared to the variety of other Gis at this price, it is probably the best one. It is fitted around the mid section and baggy everywhere else but one wash pretty much took care of it, making it a perfect fit. I'm 5'7 and 175 pounds and it fits great. I would call it an "athletic" fit.

Here are the Pro(s):
It's really really comfortable and feels strong even though it's pretty light.
6 drawstring loops and round drawstrings are a plus.
Simple design with room for Academy patches and etc..
Sleeves are tapered and hard for others to grab.

Here are the Con(s):
The price. It's MSRP is $189.00 but Budo is selling it discounted and that made it worth the purchase. I don't think anyone else is selling it cheaper. Some people are trying to sell it for $250 or higher on ebay. I guess you can call these the Air Jordan brand of the BJJ community.

Love this gi. During my vacation to Los Angeles we made a stop at Budovideos and picked one up. Great store, though it isn't a very big one. I should have picked one up in white too!

I wont to start off by saying this is an awesome Gi. It is my first but just by looking around the gym and seeing all the different Gis I definitely like my SYR. I have been using this Gi for about 7 days now and last night I finally started rollin in it. I like that fact that it is a little snug on me so it makes it harder for the other person to get a good hold. My only discrepancy is that the patch on the bottom of the Gi top is starting to rip off after 1 day of rollin. Other then that this Gi is great.

My favorite gi. This was my first shoyoroll so I can't compare to other shoyoroll gis, but it is very well made.

Not worth the hype! Gi shrunk after one wash in cold water and hang drying! Uncomfortable and feels heavy! Cotton on the inside of pant string came out over three feet after one night of rolling. Don't waste your time and money!
